Front hallway is done! and..Snow :)

Tony had painted the celing and walls in the front hallway, and just this past weekend, finished laying the tile.

 

daughter April had brought us this beautiful wind chime from a trip to the Baltimore aquarium,

and we decided it would look perfect hanging here :)

 

work was started on the pool, and then we've had Two snowstorms, so thus far the 'pool to be' just looks like a giant meteor hit the backyard,lol

 

of course, with the latest snowfall we had last night, it looks like a giant Snow-filled meteor hole :)

sigh...maybe the pool will be done before Memorial day!!

for your enjoyment ( I Love snow:) here's some more pics...I love sitting in our front room and watching it snow!!

and I love watching the birds, we always put bird seed out when it snows :)

Tony is now working on the next-to-last indoor project..the 'Redskins bathroom'...will let y'all know when that's done(and post pics:) The 'Redskins room' will probably wait till fall..Tony's not as happy about the snow,lol, it's keeping him from starting on all the outside projects he has planned!

Congrats! to Dustin,Happy Birthdays for Feb, and other stuff

Last Sunday Tony and I made a quick trip to Georgia to see Dustin get inducted Feb 11 into the Sergeant Audie Murphy club, I posted about it over at my troop support blog

Here's some other pics from the trip, we were only there Monday and Tues, and headed back home Weds..too short!!

Yikes! it's already February!

Time to do some catching up!!

The first part of January, Tony's son and his family visited

which made it feel like Christmas extended all the way into January:)

 

 

and then, Tony turned 50 on Jan.6!

and we had a great time with family and friends over for his party.

 

next, April turned 21 on Jan.21, so it was time for another party :)

 

We haven't gotten a whole lot more work done on the house the past two months (and as always, when I say 'we', I actually mean 'Tony',lol)

although while he was recovering from his knee replacement surgery in Dec, I actually finally Did have time to unpack more boxes.

But, we were excited today to pick up some 'new-to-us' furniture  from Tony's sister and her husband, which we think looks Great in the 'Redskin room to be',Thanks!! :)

 

 

also, Tony's birthday gift from everyone in the family was a series of pieces of a Redskins Christmas village, which Tony had really wanted for a long time, to go with his Redskins train..so the second piece of the collection came today, and he's set them up on the shelf over the TV

 

 

next on the agenda? Super Bowl party tomorrow...y'all enjoy the game!!

Catching up..

Long silence, I know, while my husband was recuperating from knee replacement surgery. Need to add some more pictures :)

we put up shelves in the front living room

and even though it will be awhile before Tony can paint and carpet,etc his 'Redskins room', we put up some of his shelves and Redskins items in that room

(note..it really wasn't that hard to persuade him to finally unpack and display all his stuff,lol)

we had the two other bedrooms carpeted

and have been hanging things on walls

there will be a break, I'm sure, on any major projects getting done until Tony's knee finishes healing, and springtime! but wanted to catch up on what's been going on.
